Shailene Woodley is an American activist and actress. Her fame was boosted by her performance in the role of Alexandra King as a teen addict in The Descendants. Following her excellent performance on The Descendants she went on to perform several other parts that demonstrated her versatility. Shailene was able to earn an important position within the film industry at a young age in her career. This is a feat in and of itself. The path she took began with TV and commercials however, she quickly moved into Hollywood films.
